My ancestry and roots in Armenian history are the catalysts for my current body of work, A History Ignored.In 2010, I began researching my grandfather's Armenian heritage and the history of the Armenian diaspora. My solo exhibits at Galatea Fine Art, Resnikoff Gallery and Arsenal Center for the Arts included works inspired by this research. I intend to expand this body of work for an exhibit in 2015, the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

The Nostalgia Series is based on the photos of Dr. Lester Reiss, a brilliant philosophy professor with a talent for elegant black & white photography. Influenced by these nostalgic images, I use a greyscale palette, with vibrant underpainting for luminosity. The body of work includes family members, landscapes, and abstractions of nature and architecture. Images are from the campus of Connecticut College where Lester lived and worked.
